Fluoride Newsletter - June 2007

Website

Well some good news to report. We now have a website, courtesy of Julian Moss of Cockermouth who has delivered a impressive design and content. Do have a look at it www.cumbrians-against-fluoridation.org.uk and please can we have some input.

You will see that on the site under Articles is a link to personal accounts. At present there are just contributions from myself, Julian and Olga. If you have health issues which appear to be linked to using the local water then do record them there. To do so contact Julian through the website

If you look in the Health section (and read Doris Jones' contribution under Articles) you will see conditions and complaints that have been linked to excess fluoride consumption.

If you suspect fluoride may be a contributory factor in any health problems you have experienced then it may be wise to do as Olga has done and try substituting bottled water for a period and see if it affects your symptoms.

Postcard Campaign

The postcard campaign continues to do well. We have had requests from people in other areas for supplies. We assume it has made an impact at the Department of Health as they now refuse to answer our requests for the research evidence of the long term impact in fluoridated communities.

Unfortunately Mary and I have not been able to distribute the postcards in the local towns as often as we had hoped this Spring. Family, work and health issues have kept us occupied one way and another. We would appreciate offers of help. Either to join one of us on the streets for a couple of hours handing them out and talking to people or to post them through doors if you are living in a fluoridated area.

Although we have been receiving fluoridated water for many years most areas of the country have been fluoride free. Recent moves by Health Authorities indicate that water fluoridation is now a threat for Manchester, Southampton and possibly other areas. If you have friends, relatives living in those areas then do urge them to seek more information than they will be offered by the local Health Bodies.

Our website is a good starting point.
